Many of our clients ask how drone motor noise affects magnetometer readings. We prepared this graph to help put that into perspective.

We collect 1000 mag readings per second, which allows us to see and plot magnetic noise emanating from drone motors. The typical pattern is a symmetrical wave, with a magnitude of 3nT. This type of noise is easy to filter by running a line through the middle of the curve. The resulting profile is accurate to better than 1nT resolution.
